Today’s Marking – Independent Thinker Line

Where: See the photo…for only 30% of the population, the headline and lifeline (below your index finger and above your thumb) are separate at their roots. Most people’s headline and lifeline are attached together at this starting point then split. See how the lines in the photo are separated?

What: The Independent Thinker is someone who is more forward- and progressive-thinking than their family of origin. Enough so that they may have felt different (a little or a lot) as a child. Their family likely thought they were a bit (or a ton) different, weird, a little ‘out there’, maybe even labeled the ‘black sheep.’ Independent Thinkers often feel misunderstood, don’t feel they fit in everywhere, sometimes even wonder if they were adopted, and sometimes are teased by siblings that they actually were adopted! They often make connections much faster than those without this marking, unintentionally ‘leave steps out’, and expect others to keep up or have the same view and understanding they do.

Master Path: As adults, most Independent Thinkers embrace their independence, are fiercely so, are rebels in their own way and out-of-the-box thinkers.

Student Path: Feeling not heard, misunderstood, not embracing independence, ‘rebelness’ or different approach to thought/ life/leadership and therefore giving power away, denying authentic expression and self.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Oh my the Monet exhibit at the Denver Art Museum! The art experience of a lifetime. I am certainly no connoisseur, but this tour was incredible. Ten to fifteen years in the making (most of the pieces were from private collections, organizers had to make copies, loan out other major works as temporary substitutions, build frames to owners’ specifications, put some under glass or behind a fence, etc.), it was the history of the artist, his family, the locations, and more that fascinated me. It certainly didn’t hurt that I have visited his past home in Giverny, France. And of course his talent, wow. This is one of my favorites.
